Gifted and Beyond: Community Workshop Series

  • TheGifted Arts, Inc. 410 Glenwood Ave STE 170 Raleigh United States (map)

THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Please REGISTER on Eventrbite.

TheGifted Arts takes great pride in what is an even greater responsibility of being an extension of our youth's family. We have a goal to continue to provide quality and consistent support in the year ahead. As such, we will enhance the way in which we provide this extension of care by structuring recurring workshops and engagement opportunities.

These are important to the organization because we value a wholistic approach to serving our youth. We understand that our parents and guardians play an integral role in our youth’s development, yet also have goal and obstacles of their own, even more so now as we battle this world of social unrest and a pandemic.

In an effort to support our guardians and community members to cultivate healthy families, and with the help of community experts, we've created a series that both informs, educates and uplifts our parents and our youth. For this current season and year to come this will include a variety of pertinent issues affecting our community: COVID matters, academic support, college and career readiness, financial health/literacy, trauma informed care, ownership, mental health and more.

Our first workshop is designed to help attendees be more financially savvy in their day to day money matters. We hope you can join us!

Topics Covered Include:

-Budget creation

-Saving for an Emergency Fund

-Debt Pay Down

-Setting Financial Goals

This workshop will be facilitated by Ryan Chapman of Chapman Tax and Accounting Servicea locally, black owned tax and accounting firm offering individual tax preparation, notary service, bookkeeping, and other business and financial consulting. Learn more about Ryan.
